The patient was known to be on long-term contraception and had a history of multiple caesarean sections. An ultrasound of the pelvis was requested for an initial assessment. Case Description Ultrasound revealed a distended endometrial cavity containing a localised hypoechoic collection measuring 39 x 23 x 28 mm which suggests haematometra with no cervical or vaginal involvement. Diagnosis/ Discussion/ Treatment/ Follow up The patient had an MRI of the pelvis which confirmed the haematometra to be caused by a scar. The collection was drained surgically.
