A Gallbladder Filled with Numerous Radiolucent Calculi Clinical History A 56-year old lady presented with abdominal pain and some bowel symptoms. Case Description CT abdomen and pelvis with contrast revealed mild thickening of the gallbladder wall, however, no radiopaque calculus (radiolucent calculi) was seen. Ultrasound was advised. An ultrasound of the abdomen after adequate fasting (>6 hours) revealed a mildly thick-walled gallbladder filled with numerous calculi (radiolucent calculi). Diagnosis/ Discussion/ Treatment/ Follow up The patient was referred to the surgical team to discuss plans for cholecystectomy if clinically indicative.
